Turkey Day! What a feast we had!

We had the best Thanksgiving this year! We stayed in Colorado and my mom and dad came for the weekend! I had never cooked the full Thanksgiving dinner before - so I decided to take on the task!! (and not to toot my own horn or anything, but it was pretty dang good!!). Take a look for yourself:

We even kept up the family tradition of going bowling after watching a little football!! We are so thankful for family and all of the blessings that we have! So glad we got to share this year with Grandma and Grandpa Olsen!!!

Family Meeting!!!

Family Meeting is a tradition in my family that has been going on for as long as I can remember. On the 1st Sunday of every month all of my mom's family meets at Grandma's. We enjoy a delicious meal and then get to hang out. We also have a "meeting" where everyone share's their "family report" for that month. It was such a wonderful thing to have growing up and has made our family a TIGHT unit. Sadly, when we moved to Colorado, we had to start missing out on this great tradition. So, needless to say that we were excited to be back for a visit and be able to go and hang with the fam again!!!

9/09: Carter is 9!!!

We had a fun Utah trip a couple of months ago and I am finally getting around to posting some pics! We went to feed the ducks at Layton park and then played on the playground with our cousins! The kids were a little scared of all of the ducks...but had fun anyways!

Gage breaks his arm....

It's a little like deja-vu....about 3 years ago this was Ellie, falling off of the bed and breaking her arm......This time we had Gagey tumbling down the stairs after one of his toy balls. Poor kid! He was a trooper though...didn't even cry when they did the xrays! He had to get a "Broncos cast" - hence the blue and orange. The cast didn't last 2 long...He somehow wriggled out of it a couple weeks later. Luckily it wasn't a bad fracture and all was well.

So following this message is a major blogathon. I have been slacking and have just posted about a gazillion pictures that sum up most of our summer. It just keeps going and going and going....AND GOING. But it's good stuff, so just accept my apology and bear with me. Smooches.

What more can you ask for than good friends, good family, and Maddox rolls???? It's the beginning of a beautiful relationship.... (I'm talking about me and the rolls...but these two are cute too...) Some sexy cousin fun!!! When are we going to do a girls trip????

Ellie isn't acually waving, she is trying to tell them to stop. She didn't enjoy the ride. I think I am the only one having fun. Casey, Brit, and Trey on the tube o fun.

Carter outrode Casey a couple times. He's living up to the legend.

Ellie didn't enjoy her surfing experience very much. We will try again next year.

God's Country

That's what Matt calls Richmond, and I have to admit, it is a pretty place. Me and Gagey went on a little walk by Grandma and Grandpa Lewis's house and snapped a few pics.

Momma Bird

Ellie found these 2 little baby birds that had fallen out of their nests at Grandma and Grandpa Lewis's house. She was so worried about them and where they were going to live, where their mommy was, and how they were going to eat. She took it upon herself to hand feed them worms, made them a nest on the ground, and checked on them everyday. Grandma Lewis was a good sport and dug up worm after worm after worm.
