This is Ellie and Ashley with the current Miss Utah. Ellie has a hard time keeping her eyes open in pictures....
Ellie got a new parasol, which she wanted to carry around everywhere. They get to use it while they are on stage in the pageant. (Again, eyes.....)
She loved this waterfall, she tried to take her shoes off and get in, but I wouldn't let her. I love this picture of her, though!

"Little Miss" Tea Party

We had a girly girl weekend this last Saturday. I have a lot of pictures, so I will probably have to do 2 posts to fit them all in! Ellie got invited to be a part of the Miss Utah pageant coming up in July. She is going to be the "little miss" of Miss Salt Lake County (Devin's girlfriend, Ashley.) She gets to learn a production number, and escort Ashley out on stage when she does her evening gown and swimsuit portions for the judges. Ellie is so excited that she can hardly stand it! This last weekend we were invited to the little miss tea party in Orem at UVU. We got to dress up all fancy and wear "tea party" hats and gloves.

Big Butt's

I almost didn't share this story, for my own embarrassment, but decided that it was too classic to keep to myself. So read on and enjoy a giggle at my expense....
A couple days ago, we decided to take the kids out for a fun dinner. Right as our food arrived, Ellie decided that she just HAD TO go to the bathroom. Sighing at the usual bad timing, I stood and led her to the bathroom. She did her thing, and then I figured that while we were in there I may as well do mine. The stall, however, was a little small, and there were no protective seat covers, so Ellie had to stand behind me in the corner while I went. I pull down my pants and do the squat/hover thing and all of the sudden she starts singing, very loudly, "I like big butts and I cannot lie......". People in the next stall are laughing. I hurry and get her out of there and go back to our table. I tell Matt the story, and between fits of giggles he asks her why she was singing that. She says, "Well, Mom was sticking her big butt in my face, and it made me think of that song, so I sang it."
LOL.
