3 miles..

I ran 3 miles today. Without stopping. I think my right knee didn't like it very much because I can barely walk on it, but I did it! I WILL LOSE THIS BABY FAT if it kills me! I never have been much of a runner, but for some reason, I have grown to love running outside with my ipod turned up loud. I am not very fast, but very determined. I hope to be up to 5 miles in the next 3 weeks so I can run a marathon relay. I think I can, I think I can, I think I can!!!! The above picture has nothing to do with this story, but is pretty stinkin cute don't you think? Gaining all that weight was worth it for her!!!

Hi. My name is Amber, and I am an addict...

I got this little ipod touch fro Christmas this last year. And I love it. Too much. The funny thing is is that when my husband offered it to me, I didn't want it. What am I going to do with that, I asked him? Play a bunch of stupid games? It's not even a phone. What are "apps" anyways? So, I grudgingly accepted. Now I can't put it down. I use it to check my email, my facebook, my blogs. I use it to make my grocery list, as a calculator, to check the news, the weather and the scores of the Rockies and Broncos games (in live time!). I can write notes to myself, draw pictures, play games - you name it this baby does it. It even has a breastfeeding app for all us new moms out there...WHAT? Seriously. But my new love is "Words with Friends". It is like scrabble that you play with your friends. I LOVE IT! I have like 10 games going at a time and can't wait until its my turn. Sad? yes, maybe a little. But at least it's working my brain cells....So if you are my friend and you have an itouch, iphone, or ipad, sign up for "words with friends" and lets start a game..... my user name is lambamber....Smooches.

The Alien from Uranus

I know, I know... So many jokes come to mind when reading that title....Carter had to pick a planet in our solar system and learn everything he could about it. He then had to design an alien that could live on that planet. He, of course, picked Uranus. (Matt couldn't even say "uranus" without giggling.) Carter worked really hard and we learned more about Uranus that we ever wanted to know. Did you know that Uranus is a gassy planet?? (no lies!) Here are some pics of the infamous Alien from Uranus!!

7 weeks old!

My how time flies when you're havin fun!!! (or just having 4 kids and a busy life!) My littlest Lamb is almost 2 months old! She has survived Gagey feeding her a fruit snack ("she was hungry, mom"!) and Ellie giving her a bath with Clorox wipes ("she just spit up all over herself, mom!"). She is the best baby! Loves to be held, which there is no shortage of volunteers! They fight over who gets to hold her and for how long. Her eyes are definitely going to be blue like her Daddy and she is getting those chubby cheeks we love! I had to post this picture of the cheeks:

She is starting to smile at us and coo. Ellie thinks it is hilarious when she sticks her tongue out. Gagey calls her "BEE-YAH", and loves to give her loves and kisses ALL THE TIME! having 4 kids is definitely a challenge, but so worth it for the sweet little moments that come, however fleeting they may be!

This is how I get things done....I wish I had 8 hands, too!!!

Fun with Grandma and Grandpa Olsen

My parents came to help out the week after Brya was born. It was sooo nice to have some help and the kids were so sad to see them go..
I have to admit, I was a little sad (and scared) myself - tackling life with four kids is pretty scary without your mommy there to save the day! Luckily I have Matt here to save the day and keep me from going insane. He is such an amazing husband! He has been cooking, cleaning, taking care of kids, and even letting me get a little extra sleep here and there! I don't know what I would do without him!

The Zoo with Grandma

When my mom came to town to help with all the baby "fun", we decided to venture out and go to the zoo. It was my first outing with Brya and the kids were SO excited to get out of the house for a while! The only problem is that it was FREEZING cold and started hailing after a little while. But we got to see almost all of the animals and the kids had a blast! Ellie asked if we could go back every weekend from now on! I didn't take too many pics because it was soooo cold, we had to keep moving fast!

Random Lamb family stuff

Brya taking a tubby.... She is so funny, she gets so relaxed that she will go to sleep.. The kids love to come and "help", they are fascinated by bathtime for some reason. Ellie likes to pose for pictures. It cracks me up. She is so funny!

Happy Easter!

We had such a beautiful, sunny day for Easter. There was a little wind though, which didn't bother us because all the kids got KITES from the Easter Bunny!! Gage let go of his and it flew away in the first 5 minutes, but the other two had a blast!!

Gage was focused on finding all the eggs he could stuff in his basket...And then it was CANDY time!
This was a fun little egg hunt that the girls in my ward put on! I love their excited faces! Carter wouldn't carry a basket around, (he's too cool for that now) so he hauled around a grocery bag...

We had such a wonderful, relaxing day, finding eggs, watching conference and flying kites! I went to bed on a high from the wonderful spiritual messages that I heard from our prophet and other authorities. I am truly greatful for my Saviour and his Atonement for me and my sins. Happy Easter!
